Rhoda Wanyenze is currently a Professor in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health, School Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala. Rhoda trained as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Makerere University, Uganda in 1993. She is the Program Director, MakSPH Fellowship Program at Makerere School of Public Health.
She later did her Master of Public Health, also at Makerere, in 2002 and PhD from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in 2010. She received additional training in HIV/AIDS program leadership and management, gender and health, project planning and management, and designing clinical research.
Her field of interest is infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis) and maternal and child health. Rhoda has published several papers in national and international reputable journals, and has extensive experience in health service delivery including clinical, research, program management, and policy development.
